My Collaberation

I had some benefits of working and collaborating with classmates, one of those benefits was that I had less work to do which made e a lot happier. Another benefit was that I could either get a better grade depending on my group members. Also It also made me do work on time that was good because the pressure of sharing a grade makes me do my work on good time or on the schedule. These benefits did benefit me.

One of the challenges that challenged me was that the fact that some of my group members did everything a little late, and also one of my group members did it for the wrong chapter. But eventually we did everything on time, the only thing that worried me was if they put some effort into our work. Also I could talk to one of my group members while I was at home I chatted to him and told some advice.

Also I had seen some new understandings of other groups they saw what I read in a different perspective which once you think of it, it could be true and then a discussion came up about it. One new thing about Hatchet was that Brian when he moved to his shelter we were not exactly sure what type of shelter was it and that was something we discussed because I was not even sure what type of shelter that he stayed in. I saw others peoples view of the story and maybe how he felt.

LIt circle reflection

The book I chose for literature circles was Hatchet. We had to read chapters 1, and 2. In our discussion we learned new things that we did not think about. Other people had different views about what happened which could help us understand new ideas and information about the story. It made us learn how Brian (the main character) felt although it does not say how he felt when he was going to crash.

What I found a really big connection that I thought every one would do, was when in one part Brian says "easy to say hard to do" that was a big connection because, when you are given a project that requires imagination and creativity you start to brag about what you are going to make, create or write about. That happened to me several times, I had a project and I used my  max power of my imagination and after when we had to do it I thought it was really hard to do. We also learned other peoples experiences in their life. How they felt when they did something similar to Brian, so we have an idea how Brian felt when it does not tell.

I predict that soon Brian will get hungry and will need to drink water. Predictions. Some predictions that I think that will happen soon in the story is that, when Brian landed he was so sure for a search party that he knows that it will come, an he said he could survive one, two, three, four and said he does not want to think of more days to survive. If Brian is so sure about his search party then the search party will come because he said his parents care about him so much. I also predicted that Brian might need to migrate from the lake he landed at because he can not stay there forever if food is further away.

The mystery of wealth of Papua new Guinea and their wealth differences

It is true that Australians have more cargo as in the New Guineans would say it, which the word cargo is like the word stuff for them. Yes there is a big difference of the stuff that Australia and New Zealand, those two countries have lots more stuff then the new Guineans have. New Guinea is a place were there are tribes and not much technology they would still not be in the places we are in now. These people farm as there living and there goal is not to see the great things in world but to survive and live three life is there goal. What do New Guineans have that the Australians don't have, this is not the easiest question when you think about it.

The people of New Guinea have lots of culture in them, but what chances and advantages did New Zealand and Australians have that New Guinea did not have?   Well the people probably  had a chance to meet with the other technology that other parts of the world have, when they came to their country. Technology that the New Zealand have that the New Guineans do not have are for example; computers, television, and knowledge and many more.

people are like this in Australia,
people are more in a rush to something
that involves work or technology
New Guineans were not much crowded communities but they did have enough people to help each others out. New Guineans technology is not as good, one reason for this might be because people do not have enough knowledge and education. In addition another reason that they do not have much technology is because there climate, and there surroundings. A reason could be because of there shelter, the shelter effects what they create and because some electronic things can not be touch by something liquid. Also they need to have a renewable power source of energy, for example: they have a hydroelectricity, solar energy can be useful, wind power plants, and geothermal power plants. Renewable power plants are the best option to gain more electricity because they are simple at the moment and they do not have to worry about anything run out.

Before you were introduced to the power plants which will help them have more energy. The first power plant told was called Hydroelectricity, this one uses water as there source of power, it works like this: there is a wheel and as the water current passes it causes the wheel to move witch somehow creates energy. Second power plant introduced was the solar energy, This could be the most simplest but only if you have the right tools and materials to create one, you would have to have a panel  and reflect it to the sun, this makes the suns energy into your own energy, this does not create as much as energy but it is most simple. Third renewable power plant introduced was the wind power plant, this is uses wind to create energy, this would not be very useful if the place located is in a forest or it is quite crowded. Geothermal energy uses land as its resource. The reason that these power plants improve New Guineas country and taking it one more step to Australia or New Zealand technology. Another reason that these are good strategies to make a good source of energy is because it saves our world and take the advantages of our world and creates it into energy. New Guinea will advance with the steps that Australia and New Zealand took. All the world has a chance to become more advance, although they are the most advanced.

Also another reason Australia is more advanced is because of there communities with more people comes more knowledge and help. They could use help to make themselves successful.

Still we are all people, and we are all equal.

This video shows how people in new Guinea live and how they have fun...

Life as a Mud Skipper

"Hello". My name is Joe and I am a mud skipper. I live in a mangrove forest, here, were I am is very peaceful until one day some one disrupted my joy. It was a very casual day, the high tides came and I was joyfully in the mud playing with my friends.
I was peacefully resting until these loud noises started being heard it was early in the morning, me and my friends huddles up together to be safe and the these huge massive things started appearing. This is how I described them, there top part of there body was very colorful, there bottom side, they were wearing some type of clothing.

Honestly it was funny  seeing them fall in the mud, I saw there smiles on there faces as they fell they were having lots of fun, soon they were having mud fights and they were through or shoving mud at people. a couple of times I saw people fall inside the mud, and seeing there feet 2 feet under the mud. What I also saw that was funny was that soon there was laughter then after awhile repeatedly falling in the mud, they were sick of mud and hated it was just frustrated for them. I noticed that people were planting trees and they seemed like the trees around me which I think they are called mangrove trees. Honestly I think those creatures were destroying more than planting more. Soon this was getting bad....

After ten minutes of laughter this was getting out of hand, there people stepping on crabs and crabs were slashing back at them, but the sad sight for me was that my mom, my dad were stepped on. Soon i thought it was my turn. I quickly skipped along the mud in a safe distance and started to sob on myself, I felt so sad that my mom and my dad were killed by huge beasts. I got over it after a long while and then started to laugh again at the creatures.

At the end I saw a large amount of mud on every body's  clothing at first this joy was fun but in the end I think they learned that planting mangrove trees is a hard job. I saw a couple of beasts covered in mud and by there face expressions there joy was from fun to tiring, it was a very bad experience for me that day but I laughed through it at least.

Bad Bad Bad....

in my old school we had a lot of fun since I was younger and we did not have as much reaponsibilitie, that was a good thing but there's a bad part of school. The bullies. There were really mean people, in my school bacause people did not like the school, (I thought it was a really good school) one day I was at the cafateria and I was sitting with my friends. We were sitting right next to the victims table. Then it happened. This big kid came to him (he was 3 or 4 grades older than him) and he started to say mean things like "You look ugly" or "This is my table now" which really they sit somewhere else. He made the kid move. After that I did not see the kid until I saw him sitting on the floor of the bathroom still crying after 40minites. I quickly used the toilet and then I asked him "aren't you suppose to be in class?" but he didn't respone.

I would say that looked very sad in his eyes because the floor he was sitting on was a little wet. This for anybody would be a very tough day, and hard to forget. But he did nothing wrong it was really sad.

Today, I would stop that, because that is not nice. I would stand up for Jeong because it was definetly not the right thing to do so now, we should stop bullying. What I would change in that situation is, that I would tell that bully that he should stop because it was there table, and he just kicked him out, when they always sat there. I t was a wrong thing, that the bully made him move

One goal I would have would be that: everyone has to be nice to one another, example: there's a new student in school and she/he is very shy, so, mostly everyone should great her/him, to make them feel welcome.
Another great goal for everyones privacy is to make themselfs more organized, to help everyones life in school.

When I Showed Courage

I was in second grade in ISKL, it was just a usual day, and I took my classes normally, the usual math, reading and writing. I was not in a bad mood but I was just in another day doing the usual and then the best part of the day came, recess.

Recess was the best part of day for any one any day, it was a beautiful time to play in the sand or the basket ball court, back then the basket ball court had sharp rocks as the floor for the court. I was just having fun playing tag (which is a game where you chase each other and if you touch someone they are the tagger) my friend was it and we started chasing each other around we were having a lot of fun playing. Until it was my turn to be chased as I ran away from my friend which was going after me and I ran towards the basket ball course and then it happened, as I ran full speed towards to the basket ball course I fell. I fell to the basket ball course and once I fell I stabbed my knee really deep. I was there on the basket ball course until the nurse and someone else carried me to the nurse’s office I cried as I went there. For me that was real courage to take a sharp rock stabbing my knee and only crying towards the nurse’s office the nurse called my mom I laid down on the little bed they had. My mom came and I went to the hospital “Gleneagles Hospital”

I was sent in my mom’s car to the hospital. We entered the hospital me and my mom went to the emergency room. First I laid there on the bed. I was in the emergency room with my mom. As the doctor gave my mom two choices, I started thinking what they were going to do to me. Then the doctor explained what they were going to do and he told me in a calm voice “We are going to put an injection on you which will make you feel numb”. They were going to inject it to my knee in the exact spot. The doctor injected me and I cried with pain it was really painful but then after a while my knee felt numb. That I would say is also courageous because resisting a shot that is exactly where it hurts, it was really painful I had to concentrate my mind on something else to get that shot, it hurt a lot. Then next they started stitching, my mom kept asking does it hurt and I always replied “No mom it does not hurt” after the whole hospital trip, which we stayed for 8-9 hours which then finally I left for home.

The next day I had to were a special bandage which made me feel less pain. I had to walk straight because of my knee for about 4 weeks, but I was lucky I got to take the elevator, then after a couple of months or so I could return to my normal life in school.

I think I was brave for resisting my pain and my mistake. This was not a pleasant time in my life but I restored my life eventually and I had a hard time in the hospital. But what I would call courage is surviving what you need to do that is what I call courage.

Understanding our World

Understanding the past can help us understand our world by knowing the history and to discover the new things we did in the past for example the Hominds were our early humans or versions of us they didn't have televisions they had to hunt animals to eat, drink lake water, and we just drink soda or juice or clean water, also we eat burgers, and mixed types of foods. What we know about the past helps us undersatnd about the world from the past we would want to know how we advance why we live or maybe how we lived, we want to discover new evidence about the world and our past wich makes us understand both the past and the present world. we figure out how we advanced and how we'll get to tommorow, when the future begens.

Yeah... I would choose of those three social scientist options archeologist. This of those 3 would be my specialty job because I guess I could be good digging up dirt and finding cool artifacts and finding antiques. I would choose this job because I could break the puzzle to preistoric times and analasing artifacts to help myself to break this puzzle. Don't you think finding a cave painting would interest or at least set your brain running, or maybe find a cool artifact would interest you because for me it definetly intrested me. I in my future for a social scientist would be the one person who broke the code human history because if I found a cave painting I would take an analasis to the painting and find out what it means not stopping until I found the answer to the painting. Then I would rub my answers to the people who tried to find out what I did (will do). I would dig in places where humans have lived. Then I would find there garbage and make it my treasure.

This is a picture of Howard Carter. Howard Carter was born in May ninth 1874, in Kensington witch is near the west London, England Howard began his studies of paintings and inscription from the age of 17, pretty young right! After working in an excavigation in Beni Hasan witch is located in the middle east He changed his course for egyptian tombs and then later (eventually) he bacame famous for some tomb dicoveries of some pyrimid in Egypt. after retiring from being an archeologist he became a collector. After all his achievements he died of lymphoma witch is a type of cancer.

Giacomo Boni was born in Venice 1859. This guy on your right was an italian archaeologist in Roman arhitecture. He studied arhitecture in an acadamy called "Acadamy of fine arts" in his native city. He dedicated himself to an important excavigations near Rome. His excavigations led to many important discoveries like the Iron age necropolis and lots of other monuments. Some of his excavigations were interupted by the outbreak of world war 1. witch gave him the idea of being a soldier. Boni died in Rome he was burried at some special hill were he escavated.
I used Buzzle.com  and Wikipedia the free encyclapedia  for info of these guys
